Let The Heavy Things Go

Let the haters go. They are too heavy to carry very far at all.

Let the abusers go. They will only teach you to drown yourself.

Let the bitterness go. It is an invisible weight that suffocates joy.

Let the comparisons and the jealousies go. They only rob you of the delight found in living an abundant life.

Let the self-seeking go, the half-hearted attempts at following Jesus, the you-can-have-everything-but-this. They are flashy, modern identities created to keep you just beyond the beauty of total surrender.

Let the wasted time go. The regrets. Put wisdom in their places.

And let the pride go. Because in the end, pride is what keeps us holding on in the first place.
